Ogun pastor struck dumb after demolishing shrine

A  pastor, Wale Fagbere, was rendered unconscious and speechless at the weekend after invading a community shrine at Ketu – Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun in a bid to pull it down.He was believed to have been trapped at the shrine by forces suspected to be spirits.

Fagbare was said to have boasted before his members he would flatten the shrine where the community traditionalists congregate to worship, the Nation reports.But he was said to have been rendered motionless until people spotted him.

6 months pregnant woman killed by Police over mistaken identity

.A widower Mr Solomon Wilfred is claiming that his wife, Vivienne, who was six-week pregnant, died from “emotional stress” after she was released from Police custody.
According to the Nation,Wilfred, who got married to the late Vivienne last December, said she was taken to Akinpelu Police Station in Oshodi on March 15 by a policeman following an argument with another woman, Chinwendu Udomadu over a teenage girl, Perpetual Ucheweaku at the nearby Arena Market.

Police arrest teacher Olayinka Folarin for raping 3 pupils

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a teacher, Olayinka Folarin, for allegedly raping three schoolgirls.
Until his arrest, Folarin worked at Calvary Heritage Kiddies Castle, Oluyole Estate in Ibadan.
The girls, whose ages ranged between 10 and 11, were pupils of the school. Folarin was alleged to have tricked the pupils into having sexual affair with him since 2013, until he was caught in the act.
Two of the pupils were said to be orphans living in His Heritage Home, a non-governmental organisation with link to the school they attended. They were said to have been living there since they were two years.

BREAKING NEWS-Rivers State Comissioner of Police Joseph Mbu removed from Rivers State sent to Jos

Emerging reports have it that controversial Rivers Police Commissioner, Joseph Mbu, has been removed from his post.

The commissioner, who has been fingered as one of the major causes of the crises in Rivers, will, according to information received by Sahara Reporters, be sent to the National Institute for Strategic Studies in Kuru, Jos, the capital of Plateau.

Mr. Mbu is expected to leave his duty post at the end of the week.

According to Sahara Reporters:

Joseph Mbu, who has had a controversial career as the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, has been removed from his post, a source at police headquarters in Abuja has informed SaharaReporters. The source said the commissioner is expected to leave his post at the end of this week. However, the source added that the police hierarchy has made no public announcement of Mr. Mbu’s removal.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that the police officer caught on tape asking for N25,000 bribe has been dismissed by the Nigerian Police force, Police Sergeant, Chris Omeleze with Force number 192954 was today dismissed, while this is a step in the right direction it still reflects the Nigerian factor, where a man is sent to jail for stealing N10 and the man that steals N10,000,000 is given a chieftaincy title, so sad.

Two students are reported to have been killed this morning at the Olabisi Onabanjo University [OOU] in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, as policemen confronted with violence students involved in a peaceful protest.
A source in the institution said the premises have turned riotous with students and staff of the institution dashing into nearby bushes for safety.

As i sit to write this article, i do it with a lot of pain, anger and a mixture of emotions, it is either we are not sincere with ourselves or some one some where is taking us for a ride, the picture above was released by the  FBI early hours of today, these are the two suspects who carried out the Boston Marathon bombing, if you missed the story CLICK HERE to read it, within 48 hrs a security system that is concerned and sincere about there citizens painstakingly went through hundreds of videos and still pictures and finally pinpointed the Boston marathon bombers, which are now tagged suspect one and two, in fact recent reports have it that one of the suspects is already in custody after a heavy shoot out.

LEADERSHIP, the Nigerian newspaper four of whose journalists were detained this week on the orders of President Goodluck Jonathan, has indicated it will challenge the infraction on its rights.
“The police have no right to arrest and illegally detain our journalists – or any other journalist – as they have done; we shall not let this violation go unchallenged,” the management of the company said in a press statement in in which it announced that the journalists have been let go.

Singer Adele may be looking forward to the birth of her first child later this month but she’s already got a new project lined up – working with Burberry.
Fashionistas say that Burberry chief Christopher Bailey has approached the Someone Like You singer, offering her the chance to take on a role with the British fashion house.
This could give Burberry a boost after last week’s  profits warning saw about £1.3 billion wiped off its stock market value.

Trigger happy Policeman opend fire on a Soldier

Tragedy was yesterday averted at the Bonny Cantonment gate, near Ozumba Mbadiwe Street on Victoria, Lagos as a riot policeman, said to be on illegal duty, allegedly turned his rifle against a soldier, wounding him severely.
Saturday Sun gathered that the riot policeman, who is attached to Ladipo Police Division, was escorting a civilian, whose identity could not be ascertained as at press time, when the incident occurred.
