Couple Sentenced To Death By Hanging For Killing Trader In Osun

A couple has been sentenced to death for killing a trader, Bukola Taiwo at Ikeketu Village, Garage Olode in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.

They were sentenced by an Osun State High Court.

Fatai and Lateefat Jimoh were charged on three counts of conspiracy, robbery and murder committed by the duo on the 12th of August, 2009 and they were arraigned on 2nd of June, 2014.

Minister of Health, Prof Isaac Adewole, has lamented the rate of death in Nigeria resulting from unhealthy diet such as ‘isi ewu’ (spicy goat head) and the much loved suya.

According to Adewole, hypertension is the leading cardiovascular disease in Nigeria and can result in stroke if untreated.

He remarked that 1 in every 5 Nigerians is hypertensive and at risk of premature death.

Plane Carrying Brazilian Footballers Crashes In Colombia, Killing 25 People

The first division Chapecoense football team was among the 72 passengers and nine crew on board the plane when it crashed around 10:15pm (local time) on Monday after reporting electrical issues.

There were reports of at least six survivors being found before rescue operations were suspended due to heavy rain in the crash site, in a mountainous area near the international airport in the city of Medellin.

"Tonight it was reported that a plane coming from Viru Viru airport in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, which should have landed at Jose Maria Cordova, airport had gone off course," a Colombian rescue official, Mauricio Parodi, earlier told reporters.

One or two would have experienced it. Almost everyone is on the internet now, life is better. News, happenings comes out fast now. Please note that what they did is absolutely wrong, they would have just held him and hand him over to the police. Now handing him over to the police won’t change his life, hence people must insist he is sent to a corrective home, so his life can turn out better. Actor Aremu Afolayan has however waded into the matter (he got it wrong tho) that guy wasn’t 7 and placed a curse on those who carried out the act. He also cursed the Nigerian Government. But wait let me form posh small, did Aremu actually speak like that? Those Yoruba words are too strong, yepa! What What?? Bro you are razz jor, lol. What he wrote;

Beyonce has joined the rising number of celebs and politicians that have expressed outrage over the latest police shooting of Alton Sterling and Philando Castille. Beyonce paused her Thursday night Glasgow show to display names of police brutality victims after penning open letter in response to the brutal shooting. Beyonce wrote in the letter: 'We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities. It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they 'stop killing us'.

Rap mogul Jay Z has released a new song titled 'Spiritual' in response to the recent police killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. In a strongly worded statement, Jay Z said he wrote the song a year ago knowing that it won't be the last time a black person would be killed by police officers.

Graphic Photos of Igbo Christian Woman Beheaded In Kano For Blasphemy Against Prophet Muhammad .

Angry Muslims youths in Kano on Thursday evening decapitated a woman trader over allegations that she blasphemed against Prophet Muhammad. The victim, an Igbo lady, was accused of blasphemy during a religious argument at Wambai market.
