Women from all walks of life gathered last week for the National Women's Prayer Summit with theme “The Supplication” hosted by Jumoke Adenowo and Awesome Treasures Foundation to pray against violence in Nigeria.
Celebrities like Funke Akindele, Stella Damasus, Ufuoma Ejenobor and others were in attendance.

Before the prayers began, a woman would mount the podium and narrate her personal story in the violence. Tears started flowing after one woman from Jos came up and graphically narrated how her community was burnt down with pregnant women and children slaughtered in the process.
Almost everyone in attendance started wailing and pouring their hearts out to God for the blood that was being shed across our nation.

The malady of the engagement ring, should men also wear one?

I have been pondering on this topic for a while, and its time to bare my mind, I have wondered for such a long time why engagement rings are meant for only ladies, this is a malady that I am yet to understand, funny enough the ladies wait patiently and expectantly for this ring, the man's final show of commitment before the actual wedding, but I think otherwise, if there should be an engagement ring then it should be worn by both the guy and the lady, once the lady puts on that ring, she is off the market, am sure you know what I mean, but the guy still remains available because there is nothing to show his commitment, he can play around as much as he likes while the lady is trapped with the engagement ring.

Minister of Petroleum Resources Flown to Uk for Treatment

That is what SaharaReporters is reporting. According to SR, the Minister for Petroleum Resources has been flown to a UK hospital for medical treatment.

Sources disclosed to SR that Mrs. Madueke's condition did not require immediate hospitalization, but described it as "potentially serious." The source, who is a medical doctor, was only willing to divulge that the minister's diagnosis is for a condition related to abnormal cell development in her body. The doctor declined to disclose if the diagnosis was a form of cancer, but said Mrs. Alison-Madueke's condition "assumed a dire dimension recently."

Its unconfirmed but if it is true,we wish her quick recovery.

NBC bans Wande Coal’s explicit “GO LOW” video

follow @tatafonaija   bb-23580A61

Wande Coal‘s latest video ‘Go low’ has received a ban from the National Broadcasting Commission, a week and two days after the video was premiered.
We’re told the NBC has released a list of videos which included the MAVIN Records’ video which was directed and shot by Mr Moe Musa in the UK. The NTBB (not to be broadcast) ban however only restricts the video from being played on ‘Free-to-air’ TV stations. That means viewers of cable TV stations can still watch the video as the ban doesn’t affect them from playing it.
E-mails sent to the NBC were not replied as at the time of this report.
