The Lagos State Police Command says it has discovered a fake embassy operating in Lagos where many innocent members of the public had allegedly been defrauded.

It was gathered that policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) had swooped on the ‘embassy’ and arrested two Chinese and two Nigerians.

A fake female soldier allegedly arrested with bombs a few weeks ago in Abuja, was tried in court on Friday. The lady identified as Rose John was also arrested for parading herself as an army major with the name 'Juliana Gumel'.

Accountant Fakes Own Kidnap In Lagos, Steals Company’s $50,000 (Photo)

An accountant with a lubricant producing firm in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Femi Akinola, has been arrested by the police for allegedly stealing the company’s $50,000.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the company – Eterna Plc – had sent 30-year-old Akinola to withdraw the sum from the United Bank for Africa in the Marina area on Thursday, November 17.

On getting back to the office, he reportedly told his boss that he was kidnapped on the way from the bank, saying his abductors dispossessed him of the money and his phones.

Our correspondent gathered that Akinola was subsequently arrested by the police.

Fake Soldier Selling Stolen Phone In Bauchi Caught (Photos)

33 Artillery Brigade soldiers captured a fake soldier identified as Adam Alexander in Bauchi state. The 22-year-old boy from Maiduhguri Borno State, was arrested on Friday, when he was trying to sell a stolen phone Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for N70,000, according to the deputy director of the media, the army, Captain Sunday Akinkunmi.

NAFDAC Destroys Drugs Worth N75Million In FCT

The National Agency for food, Drug Administration and Control,(NAFDAC) on Thursday, destroyed fake drugs worth N75 million in Kuje area of the Federal capital territory.

The drugs were destroyed by fire. According to DG, Yetunde Oni , the periodic exercise shows that the agency i still committed to its war against persons and organizations dedicated to counterfeiting regulated products.

Soldier Fakes Own Kidnap In Calabar, Arrested In Eket

An army officer, Musa Lawal, who was reportedly kidnapped in Calabar last Thursday, allegedly faked his abduction.

Lawal was abducted around 10am after leaving a bank along Calabar Road in the Cross River State capital by his cronies, according to a security source.

Southern City News learnt on Sunday that Lawal had allegedly arranged for his abduction to pave the way for an undisclosed illegal movement to Port Harcourt in Rivers State.
