'Stop sleeping in public functions' PDP Chairman Muazu yabs SGF Pius Anyim

Guests and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party were stunned on Thursday when the new National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu, specifically urged the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. Pius Anyim, to learn not to sleep during public events.

Mu'azu was speaking when leaders of the party from Ebonyi State visited him and the leadership of the party to pay homage and wish him well following his election.

The group was led by the governor, Martin Elechi, who spoke on behalf of the delegation from his state, which included Anyim, Minister of Health Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, and some other political office holders from the state.

Now we can report this with certainty. It is indeed true that National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur, has resigned.
Our source reports that President Goodluck Jonathan announced this after receiving his resignation, and the National Executive Council will meet on Monday to appoint a new Chairman from the North East.
Potentials for the position include Minister of Transport,  Idris Umar, allegedly a favourite of the First Lady, while some PDP governors want  former Governor of Bauchi, Mr. Adamu Muazu, as the next  chairman of the party.

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, a towering figure in postwar British and world politics and the only woman to become British prime minister, has died at the age of 87.

She suffered a stroke Monday, her spokeswoman said.

Thatcher's funeral will be at St. Paul's Cathedral, with full military honors, followed by a private cremation, the British prime minister's office announced.

Former Derby County, Plymouth and Inter Milan defender Taribo West has been accused of lying about his age.
The former Nigeria centre half, now retired, joined Serbian team Partizan Belgrade in 2002 after leaving Derby County and told club bosses he was 28.
But now the ex-president of Partizan, Zarko Zecevic, has accused him of lying, saying the defender was actually 40.

Eight Month Pregnant Woman Killed For Stealing Food

AN eight-month-old pregnant woman, Mrs. Grace Nwangwu, was over the weekend, killed in Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi State while she was reportedly trying to steal some food crops in a farm near her house at midnight.
The woman was alleged to be sleeping on the same bed with her husband, Mgbebu till midnight when she left to ease herself outside but reportedly went to farm at Igbudu Community to harvest some food crops and was killed by her attacker.
Narrating how his pregnant wife was murdered, the deceased’s husband, Mr. Nwangwu said:

Kim Embarassed as less than 50 people turn up for her club appearance

Yea she might be dating one of music finest and yes she has a popular reality TV show, but the folks in Charlotte really don't care much, Kim just finished doing some publicity rounds for her perfume true reflection and headed to Charlotte for a club appearance But poor Kim was left embarrassed when less than 50 people turned up to see her at the nightclub Hush in Charlotte, North Carolina.Even the invited band refused to play, saying the are not enough people in the club, Kim left obviously angered twitting to her fans she said 'its that kinda night'

Is this a wake up call to Kim that she may not be as accepted as she thinks.

Minister of Petroleum Resources Flown to Uk for Treatment

That is what SaharaReporters is reporting. According to SR, the Minister for Petroleum Resources has been flown to a UK hospital for medical treatment.

Sources disclosed to SR that Mrs. Madueke's condition did not require immediate hospitalization, but described it as "potentially serious." The source, who is a medical doctor, was only willing to divulge that the minister's diagnosis is for a condition related to abnormal cell development in her body. The doctor declined to disclose if the diagnosis was a form of cancer, but said Mrs. Alison-Madueke's condition "assumed a dire dimension recently."

Its unconfirmed but if it is true,we wish her quick recovery.

 Randy Jackson has quit from his role as judge of American Idol, the 56 year old finally called it quits after 11 seasons on the show as judge, although he is leaving he will still play a minor role as a mentor on the show. This means american idol will have a new set of judges coming this new season.

Ice Prince, who has been touring and enjoying the superstar life since his E.L.I. album was released is finally out with 2 new singles to remind us of what we have missed these past few months. “Aboki” which means “brother” in Hausa is a song that celebrates the north of Nigeria and its successful peoples, Chopstix did a solid job on the beat. “More” is a little bit more soulful and solemn; speaks about relationships and all that good stuff. Overall, they are high level efforts.
