What is actually happening in Nigeria?Are we for or against corruption or is the problem really lack of regard for rule of law?A group of people(many of whom dressed like lawyers) today protested in Abuja over DSS arrest of alleged corrupt judges.They were pictured with placards with various inscriptions like 'we reject the plot to intimidate the judiciary', 'nobody is above the law,rule of law must be respected', 'attack on judges who granted bail on bailable offences against govt wish is an attempt to silence the judiciary' and more.

"Whoever We Arrested For Corruption Must Be Guilty" - EFCC Boss

 The acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has reaffirmed that the ongoing anti-corruption fight is not selective.

Magu said before anyone is arrested, the Commission would have, after a thorough investigation, established that the individual is guilty.

When an American journalist and author, Anya Schiffrin, was working on her book, Global Muckraking: 100 Years of Investigative Journalism From Around the World, she thought it was expedient for her to exclude from it an investigative series from Nigeria on alleged corrupt practices of the then petroleum minister in the country, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Barely 48 hours after the Department of State Services, DSS, had taken seven suspected corrupt judges into its custody, details of what led to their arrests and how they were picked up from their homes by operatives of the agency began to emerge last night. Competent sources close to the operations told Vanguard that the agency could no longer watch and allow corrupt judges use their positions to engage in sabotage, subversion and espionage latching on huge proceeds of corruption.

Twitter user Ibrahim claimed that food items donated to IDP in Borno State are being repackaged and sold by SEMA. Again, it could be that they are selling them to generate money. NEMA in response, asked for further information in order to launch an investigation.
