Female Corper Dies In Bayelsa Orientation Camp

 The Bayelsa State Orientation Camp at Kaiama, Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of the state has been thrown into a mourning mood following the death of a female member of the National Youth Service Corps, who reportedly died under a mysterious circumstance.

Miss Elechi Chiyerom, aged 27, was confirmed dead on Tuesday. She reportedly bled and vomited after arriving at the camp.

Jonathan Obuebite, who has bagged an MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from London South Bank University. She was congratulated by her husband who was present for her award ceremony. Nigerian Footballer On Holiday Shot Dead In Bayelsa

Shooting Stars defender, Izu Joseph, has been confirmed dead after he was hit by a stray bullet in Bayelsa over the weekend.
The player who was in Bayelsa, his home state, for holidays after a gruelling season in the Nigeria Professional League was rushed to the hospital after the incident.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES THREATENS WARRANT ON SHELL’S MD

The Federal House Of Representatives through its House Committee on Public Petition has threatened to issue a warrant  on the Managing Director of SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY[SPDC] Mr Osagie Okunbor.

This followed the refusal of the company to honour invitation by the Committee On public Petitions of the House Of Representatives on three ocassions.
During the Committee sitting, the Chairman of the House of Representatives On Public Petitions Hon. Nkem Ozoma expressed dismay over the non-appearance of SHELL at the committee’s sitting on two occasions after the company was given prior notices.
