Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, has said that Nigerians see something bad in anything he does.

Facebook  billionaire CEO who was in Nigeria for three days has left for Nairobi,Kenya. After enjoying Nigerian jollof rice, he has moved on to Kenyan delicacy Ugali (corn flour)and tilapia . He wrote
"I had lunch in Nairobi with Joseph Mucheru, the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary of Information and Communications. We talked about internet access and his ambitious plans for connecting everyone in Kenya. 

We ate at MAMA Oliech Restaurant. -- a local place everyone recommended. One of my favorite parts of traveling to a new country is trying the food. I enjoyed ugali and a whole fried tilapia for the first time and loved them both!"

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg says he has tried some Nigerian food since he arrived here yesterday and he's thoroughly enjoyed them. According to him, Nigerian jollof rice, shrimp and snail, tasted delicious when he tried them. He ended by saying he has been informed not to compare our Jollof rice with that of any other African country.

The creator of instant messaging service WhatsApp can now comfortably call himself a billionaire, but his new wealth is far from his humble beginnings as a teenage immigrant on food stamps
Jan Koum, 37, co-founded WhatsApp in 2009, and five years later, after signing a $19billion deal with Facebook he is now estimated to now be worth about $6.8 billion
Koum, who is a 'long time'-friend of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, was just 16 when he moved to the U.S. from Ukraine.
He had been raised in a rural community, in a house with no hot water or electricity, and when the family moved overseas, his mother packed their suitcases with school supplies to save money.

Facebook buys messaging app WhatsApp for $16bn

Facebook has bought messaging app WhatsApp for $16bn (£9.6bn), with an additional $3bn given to WhatsApp's founders and employees.

It is the social networking giant's biggest acquisition to date.

WhatsApp has over 450 million monthly users and is popular with people looking to avoid text messaging charges.

In a statement, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg described WhatsApp's services as "incredibly valuable".

The founder of Facebook, the world-famous internet social networking site, Mark Zuckerberg, is set to visit Nigeria next month where he will be a guest speaker at a youth empowerment site in Akwa Ibom put together by the Niger Delta Young Professionals group.

DG Nigeria Sports Commission Patrick Ekeji Retires

The Director General of the National Sports Commission, Patrick Ekeji, has retired from office, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt.
Mr. Ekeji retired on Monday evening after 8 years as the administrative head of Nigeria's highest sports organ. His retirement is based on his attainment of the maximum age for civil servants.
Mr. Ekeji has temporarily handed over to the Mustapha Mohammed, the current director of finance and administration at the commission.
Sources at the commission said Mr. Ekeji's retirement followed a directive from the presidency.
The former sports boss was seen as the most influential person in Nigerian sports in the past few years.
