A restaurant, the Fusion, set up by prominent Bakassi leader, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, has opened in Calabar. At the opening of the restaurant, the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting indigenes who decide to establish investments in the state.

 25 Human Skulls Used For Ritual Found In Bakassi Strike Force Militants Shrine In Cross River

JTF troops met a gory and grim sight yesterday at 4 militant shrines uncovered inside the creeks in Cross River State.

According to the officials of Operation Delta Safe, the skulls of 25 humans believed to have been murdered for ritual were discovered inside the creeks of Akpabuyo and Bakassi LGA of Cross River state yesterday.

A 70-year-old Moses Okon of Ikot Eyo Street, Calabar, Cross River State, is now cooling his feet at the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, CIID, Police Headquarters, Calabar, over the rape of his best friend’s daughter, aged nine.

It was gathered that Mr. Okon, popularly known as Oyibo, and the victim’s father, one Mr. David Ekong, have been friends for more than a decade.

Lagos, Nigeria; June 26, 2014: Guinness Nigeria Foundation (GNF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Concern Universal, a United Kingdom-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), to improve access to potable water in about 10 communities in Cross River State. Newly inaugurated Guinness Nigeria Foundation is the special purpose vehicle through which Guinness Nigeria Plc and Diageo implements its robust corporate social responsibility programmes in the areas of health, education and empowerment and job creation in the Nigerian market.
