Helicopter crashes into Lagos building, kills two



 

 


Two persons died in a helicopter that crashed at Opebi in Ikeja, Lagos on Friday.

The National Emergency Management Agency, which made this known, also said one person was rescued.


 
The crash occurred at No. 16, Salvation Road in Opebi, north of Lagos.

The PUNCH had reported that the pilot was conveying two passengers to a destination in the state when the tragedy struck around 12.17 pm.

LASEMA MD further provided an update on the accident.

The agency received distress calls concerning a privately operated helicopter that crashed into 16 A Salvation Road, Opebi, Ikeja and immediately activated the emergency response plan.

The helicopter was carrying three (3) people, one is in the intensive care unit at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital while the other two were killed on impact and there bodies has been deposited in mortuary .
