Cardi B Pleads Not Guilty in Strip Club Brawl Case

Cardi B enters her plea. According to TMZ, the Bronx rapper, who is set to perform at a few festivals over the summer, entered a Queens courtroom today (June 25) and pleaded not guilty to 14 charges, two of which are for felony attempted assault with intent to cause serious physical injury.
The 26-year-old also faces charges of misdemeanor reckless endangerment, harassment, assault, criminal solicitation and conspiracy.

The charges stem from a strip club brawl that took place last August. Rachel Wattley (also known as Baddie GI) and Sarah Wattley (also known as Jade) allege that Cardi and her associates hurled chairs and bottles at them and left them with injuries at the venue.

A jury had previously indicted Cardi on charged with a misdemeanor count of assault and two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment last October, but those charges were superseded when a grand jury decided to indict her on the 14 charges last Friday.

While the invasion of privacy artist could be facing some significant consequences if she’s found guilty in the case, she appears confident that things will work out in her favor. While performing at the 2019 BET Experience in Los Angeles last weekend, cardi b proclaimed that she wasn't going to be spending time behind bars.
“I ain’t going to jail. I ain’t going to jail,” Cardi said while being hyped up by her DJ.
