She's been named People magazine's Most Beautiful Person of the Year. Despite her stunning appearance and impressively svelte waistline, Lupita Nyong'o, the 31-year-old star of 12 Years A Slave, has a no frills approach to fitness.Her physique is the result of good genes, walking regularly and doing some weight and circuit training several times a week.

'I try to keep my regimen - rest, water, eat well, work out,' she says.

'I like to keep things natural, simple and straightforward.'

What to try:

The pike plank is one of the best exercises to achieve a flat stomach and trim waistline.

Start on your hands and knees and then extend both legs straight behind you into a full plank position. Keep your head in line with your back and legs.Making sure your shoulders are  positioned directly over your hands, lift your hips and bottom into the air as you jump towards your hands. Bend your knees as you land on just the balls of your feet. Jump back out to starting plank position.

Repeat 12 to 15 times.
